Men's Group
Zion's Men's group will meet at 8 AM, on the first Saturday of each month at Breakfast at Tiffany's on Seneca Turnpike for a breakfast meeting. All men are invited to join in a fun morning of breakfast and fellowship.

Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Wednesday morning Bible study will resume on Wednesday, September 10th at 9:30 AM in the Confirmation room. This group meets weekly from September until the beginning of May. They will begin studying A LifeGuide Bible Study called "Hope Your Hearts' Deepest Longings" by Jack Kuhatschek. Everyone is welcome to join this small group.

Youth Group Events
Youth Group Kick-off: Attention All 7-12 Graders! We will kick-off the new Youth Group year on Sunday, September 14th. We will meet at Church at 12 noon for a round of miniature golf followed by ice cream. We will also discuss what activities and events you would like to have during the new year. We will post an announcement with the golf venue and price on the Youth Group Bulletin board by the main entrance.
Lost and Found Concert--Syracuse University Campus Ministry is sponsoring a concert by the Christian band Lost and Found on Sunday, October 5th at 3 PM. The concert will be held in Hendricks Chapel on the SU Campus. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets are available and we will be selling them after church during the month of September. We can meet at the church and carpool. Lost and Found is a fun group that provides a great message through their music and interactions with the crowd. Check them out on the internet at www.speedwood.com This concert is open to youth of all ages!

Faith Stepping Stones
Third Graders and their parents will meet with Pastor Roger on Tuesday, September 16th at 7 PM in the Fireside Room. This meeting is in preparation for the Third Grade Students experiencing a Faith Stepping Stone as they are presented with their own Bibles on Sunday morning, September 21st at either worship service.

Your Neighbors Chicken BBQ
Your Neighbors Inc, will will be holding a Chicken BBQ at Zion on Saturday, September 20th from Noon until sold out. As in the past, advance tickets purchases are encouraged to insure you get your dinner! Call Your Neighbors at 732-6804 to reserve your chickens. Cost is $6.00 for 1/2 Chicken. Pre-orders please pick up between noon and 1 PM.

Wise Women in Training
Wise Women will begin a new Women of Faith Bible Study called "Encouraging One Another". They meet the third Tuesday of the month at the home of one of the groups members at 7 PM. This month the group will be meeting at Carole Grove's home. (If you need directions call the church office or Carole.)

Learning at the Crossroads
Learning at the Crossroads presents a workshop on Saturday, September 27th from 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Cost is $20 and includes breakfast and lunch. The topic for this workshop is: "Church, State and Lutherans: Whence the 'Wall of Separation?"' led by Tom Henry, historian. Click here to get information sheet with registration information.

WELCA Convention
Women of the ELCA Convention "Cherish All God's Children" will be held at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool, NY from Friday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 5th. Come for the whole convention or just for the day on Saturday which includes the banquet. Click here for registration forms and more information.

Upstate NY Synod Lutheran Men in Mission
The Upstate NY Synod Lutheran Men in Mission present: Gathering in Coopertown, NY at the Heart of Baseball. This event includes: National Hall of Fame & Museum, Cooperstown Dream Park, Doubleday Field, Farmers Museum, Fenimore Art Museum, Brewery Ommegang, Fly Creek Cider Mill & Orchard and many more activities. It will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 11th and 12th. Bring your brother, father, son, grandson, nephew or any man you know. This is a great chance to visit Cooperstown.
