Boilermaker Sunday July 11
Boilermaker Road Race is Sunday July 11. Zion has a great opportunity to care for others by extending hospitality to the community as spectators to cheer on the runners of the Boilermaker. We will once again offer Zion's parking lot for the spectators, and we will have a hospitality table. Donations will go to the Greater Utica Area Food Bank. Your Neighbors Cook-In
Your Neighbors, Inc., an affiliate of Lutheran Care Ministries, will be holding a Cook-in at 6 pm, Tuesday, July 20, in Zion's kitchen.
On Saturday, July 31, at Shamrock Golf Club, Airport Road in Oriskany we will be hosting Zion's 8th Annual Captain and Crew Golf Event. All amatueru and experienced players are welcome. Tee times start at 3 pm, be at the course before 2:30 pm.
Mission Trip
Some of us will be traveling to New York City with youth and young adults on August 15-August 19 for a mission Trip coordinated by John and Carol Blackburn. We'll stay at the Seafarers and International House, work in a soup kitchen or clothing warehouse and take a guided Faith walk at Ground Zero.

Utica College Students Welcome
Zion has a unique opportunity to connect with incoming Utica College students and their families on July 20, and August 27 as we welcome them to our area during Student Orientation and Moving in day. Zion members will have a table set up to display Zion brochures, show pictures on the new digital photo frame, and offer refreshments to students and their parents as we create a welcoming awareness of the church closest to the college.
Young at Heart Pool Party at the Eadline's
A weekday evening pool party is planned inviting all Zion members at the home of Shirley and Steve Eadline, 9101 Grange Hill Rd, New Hartford, for sometime in late July. Our hosts will provide hamburgs and hot dogs asking guests to bring a side dish, fruit, or dessert to share.
Wise Women Retreat
The annual retreat at the Grove's cottage on Cayuga Lake is scheduled for Sunday evening, August 15-August 17. Wise women will gather for fun, relaxation, campfires, boating, girlfriend time, conversation, and of course, good food. If this sounds inviting to you please speak to Carole Grove.

Zion's Choir Needs You!
Choir will war-up at 8:45 AM on Sunday to sing for the 9:15 AM services. Sunday morning rehearsals will be at 10:30 AM. See Kim Marscher if you have questions

High Seas Expedition is awash with fun. Each day, kids participate in small groups, called Crews, and dive into the Bible! Not only will they experience amazing Bible adventures but they’ll also watch for God in everyday life through something called God Sightings™. You and your kids will discover that God is active in our lives and that his fingerprints are everywhere!
High Seas Expedition is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids will see, hear, touch, and even taste! Bible Point crafts, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats are just a few of the High Seas Expedition activities that help faith flow into real life. Get ready to embark on a journey that will change you forever!
The Auburn Merry Go Round Theater is running this musical, based on the book "Growing up Lutheran" on Friday and Saturday, October 29th and 30th, at 8 PM., tickets are $ 36-$ 38 dollars.
